Introduction to Brewing by Trinity Beer Club

There are many types and qualities when it comes to beer, but I am sure that most of us have either a favorite and on the same have wondered this big question. How to make beer? Well in this short blog Trinity Beer Club with share with you some knowledge about it.

So to make a small preview of this, like many other processes found online, it works this way:

- Malted barley is soaked in hot water to release the malt sugars.

- The malt sugar solution is boiled with Hops for seasoning.

- The solution is cooled and yeast is added to begin fermentation.

- The yeast ferments the sugars, releasing CO2 and ethyl alcohol.

- When the main fermentation is complete, the beer is bottled with a little bit of added sugar to provide the carbonation.

But in Trinity Beer Club we are big fans of beer so we are going to give you a more detailed way about what you need to start your own brewery at home. Did you know that the main budget you'll need to have your own source of unlimited beer is maximum $100,00? Yes, that's true even if it sounds amazing but lets begin with the main list of materials:

1) Airlock: To prevent contamination on your beer

2) Bottles: Around 48 recappable 12oz bottles or 30 22oz bottles. (If you can use champagne bottles that would be great)

3) Boiling Pot: Use a 3 or 5 gallon pot made of stainless steel.

4) Bottle Caps and Bottle capper: You can buy any style that you want, for caps standards will work.

5) Fermenter: One 6 gallon fermenter is recommended

6) Pyrex Measuring Cup: Quart size or larger measuring cup, made of glass so it can be easily sanitized.

7) Siphon: Plastic tubing with a racking cane

8) Racking Cane: Rigid plastic tube with sediment.

9) Bottle Filler: It can be made of plastic or metal.

10) Stirring Paddle: Food grade plastic paddle.

11) Thermometer: Obtain a thermometer that can be safely immersed with range from 40°F to 180°F.

To conclude with this short 101 Brew there's not a certain way to do it you can either take half of any extracts if you feel better experimenting and trying to make a new kind of beer. By the time you make one the next one would be even easier. There's a common trend around the world about making craft beer and in Trinity Beer Club we support the trend. So what are you waiting? Go out and make your own beer.
