Irish ale gets the 6% of the Irish market share, very recently different types of ale and craft beer related, had come to place into the 1990s. Nowadays, big brands as Galway Hooker, Dungarvan Brewing and Porterhouse Brewing.

There's also official brewers associations, as the "Irish Brewers Association" that was founded in 1904. Its purpose is to represent all the brewers in the country. "Beer Ireland" established in 2012 for small microbrewers so they can collaborate with each other and "Independent Craft Brewers & Distillers of Ireland" in 2013, membership is open to all the independent microbrewers of Ireland.
