Divided by Nations, United By BEER!

All of us have our own preferences when it comes to Beer. Some like ales, while some like Lagers and there are tons of different beers in the market. Yes, we are spoilt for choice. Moreover each country has its own tradition and relationship with beer. Just like the Irish people are fond of Stouts like Guinness, Americans prefer Lager like the Corona and the Budweiser.

We understand that studying abroad can be an overwhelming experience. You're at a new place, you meet new people, you learn so many things, but there's one thing that we all have in common, our love for BEER! We've tried to handpick our favourite beers from around the world. Here's the list:

  • Guinness

The Iconic Irish Stout, first brewed in 1759 is Ireland's favourite beer and a top choice across the world. We absolutely love the Guinness.

Did You Know that Guinness is Ruby Red in colour. Try pouring it at a 45 degree angle to get the perfect white creamy head. We definitely recommend visiting the Guinness Store-House where you'll learn about Ireland's rich beer heritage through interactive sessions. Once you're done with the tour, you'll get a free pint to relish. Sounds interesting? Grab your tickets here

  • BIRA 91 White

Introduced in 2015, this Indian brand is taking the beer world by storm. This wheat beer has a unique taste with low bitterness and a spicy citrus touch to it.

This Belgian Witbier style brew is a refreshing choice after a long day of work.

  • Pilsner Urquell

Hailing from the Czech Republic, Pilsner Urquell is the world's first blond or pale lager and probably the most popular pilsner out in the market. There are 3 ways to pour Pilsner Urquell. Each pour has a different flavour because of the denseness of the wet foam. Pilsner Urquell's signature flavour balances the sweetness from the triple decocted malt and bitterness from the Saaz Hops.

  • Stigbergets West Coast IPA

Brewed in the Stigbergets brewery in Sweden, the taste starts off with citrus, tangerine, grapefruit and then turns smoothly to a more green and earthy touch, peaking at a gentle but strong bitterness. With an ABV (Alcohol by Volume) of 6.5% and very little bitterness, this refreshing IPA is perfect for the summers.

  • Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier

Germany has a very rich culture with Beer and according to the German Brewers Association you can drink a different german beer for 15 years. That's the kind of variety they have and this list would be incomplete without a German Beer. The Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier is Brewed according to centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill. It smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time, tastes amazing with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage.
